What started out as a trending story on social media regarding rumors that retired player Marshawn Lynch might possibly come out of retirement to play for the Oakland Raiders has picked up legitimate steam this morning.
Jordan Schultz of Bleacher Report sent word via his Twitter account that Lynch met with Seattle Seahawks brass asking for a release or trade, though Schultz did not name his source.
Source: Marshawn Lynch met w/Pete Carroll+Schneider yesterday and asked to be released. Privately (w/friends) has been wearing #Raiders gear

Raider Nation continues to wait anxiously for any official word from the Raiders as this story has generated a lot of buzz considering the rather quiet free agency period the team has had so far.
