It seems that the Neiron Ball era is over with the Oakland Raiders before it even began
Earlier today the Oakland Raiders officially announced the latest cuts to their roster via the team’s official website. Amongst the most up to date trimmings was linebacker Neiron Ball.
While it’s a bit premature to let go of such a young talent, the fact is that Ball when healthy, just didn’t put up enough numbers to warrant another year with the Silver and Black. Statistically speaking, according to PFR.com, Ball’s numbers in 2015 looked decent though keep in mind, he only played in six games and started only two due to injury. In those appearances, Ball managed to force one fumble, sack the quarterback once, and finished with four tackles.
While many in Raider Nation were hoping to see what Ball could do with a full healthy season under his belt, it looks it won’t be happening anytime soon.
- Also, two other players were cut by the team: Andy Mulumba and Anthony Kukwa have also been released; a linebacker and a long snapper.
