The VEGAS Archives: 2018 Raiders’ Off-season Story Lines I Buy

Draft weekend is in the books. The draft analysts have turned their draft grades in and the rage is still top of mind for most of Raider Nation. Now organized team activities have started up and we are seeing glimpses of what we hope will be a successful upcoming campaign. Although there are no games and not even real padded practices, there are many dynamic storylines to keep an eye on this off-season.

Between this article and the next, I will be touching on a variety of the storylines that have been tossed around Raider Nation. This week based on the Twitter poll, I will be touching on the five storylines I buy. VEGAS style of course.

Ramble 101: The Sea of Highlights

December 21, 1974 – The Oakland Raiders were facing the Miami Dolphins in the AFC Divisional game. The game was a back and forth contest that you would expect and hope to see in a playoff game. The Dolphins opened by running the kickoff back for a touchdown. Things were looking bleak for the Raiders early in the game but after a Ken Stabler interception to Dolphins defensive back Dick Anderson, Miami would take a hit in their secondary, when safety Jake Scott went out of the game with an injury. The defense did their job and forced Miami to punt. Stabler redeemed himself shortly after with a touchdown pass to Charlie Smith. That touchdown tied the game.
