The Oakland Raiders did not pull any punches this offseason and went all in to improve the wide receiver group in hopes quarterback Derek Carr will take a leap in year two of the current offense.
Gone are Amari Cooper and Seth Roberts and in are Antonio Brown, Tyrell Williams, and Hunter Renfrow. While Cooper is certainly a talented player, he never quite fit in Oakland. Whether it was his body language that’s given us plenty of memes or the inconsistent production, it just didn’t work out.
Roberts, who also was talented in his own right, become the punching bag for the offensive woes the last two seasons for Raider Nation. There’s no need to debate if these two were unjustly removed from the Raiders plans under head coach Jon Gruden because what became clearly evident last year was that a major upgrade was needed.

With voluntary OTA’s in full swing, the new dynamic duo in Silver and Black is already developing chemistry and Brown showcased a glimpse via his Twitter earlier this week.

The debate on the possible drama that the wideout might bring with him can be dissected all day but what remains absolute is that the former Pittsburgh superstar is a huge upgrade regardless of what the national sports media, headed by Colin Cowherd, wants to tell you. Utter nonsense at its best.
