Cliff Branch: A Hall of Famer In Our Books

Raider legend Cliff Branch is gone at the age of 71. Many, including my good friend Kenny King Jr., have said that Branch was a great Raider and an even better man. The whole Oakland Raiders organization is in mourning, but Branch deserved better from the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Raiders WR Cliff Branch: A Hall of Famer In Our Books

Just like many Raiders before him, Branch had been waiting on the call to Canton for too long. The hope was that Branch would get the call next year when they add more legends than ever before. But like his old teammate Kenny Stabler, he was snubbed his entire late life.

With three Super Bowl Rings, 67 touchdowns, 8, 685 yards, and 501 receptions, the resume speaks for itself. Branch deserved this and now his teammates and family deserve it. The NFL needs to do the right thing, and stop this generational, anti-Raiders bias that’s become a regular thing. One day, maybe, just maybe, past Raiders will get their day in Canton without having to wait until they’re in the ground. It’s a travesty of the greatest magnitude.

R.I.P. Cliff Branch and thank you for the memories.

  1. The NFL HOF committee are a bunch of idiotic d@#kheads! They learned nothing from the sh#tty way they treated Ken Stabler and now once again a truly deserving player and all time great has left us and will never know that he had football’s highest honor bestowed upon him. These MF’ers really should be ashamed of themselves(but they won’t be)and need to have this ish taken out of their hands and given to the fans completely,SMFH….
