The Raider Ramble

UFC President Dana White embracing Las Vegas Raiders

Las Vegas Raiders are making a lot of noise ahead of their arrival in Sin City. Fans and big heads are talking about how much of an impact the new kid in town will have. UFC shot caller Dana White can‘t wait.

In an interview on the Raiders official website, White talks to Eddie Paskal about how thrilled he is about the Silver and Black making Las Vegas their permanent home and the city’s openness to sports:

“It’s always been the fight capital of the world and now’s a massive sports town, see now with the Gold Knights. When I drive to work every day, and this is no exaggeration, you know it, you’re there, every single car has either a Golden Knights license plate or sticker, and once the Raiders, you now hat kickoff happens, that place is going to be crazy for the Raiders”

White and Paskal also talked about Allegiant Stadium and how it’s going to change the city’s landscape:

“Barstool Sports did that thing where they’re playing (the imperial march) Death Star, it actually fits for that building, it’s so baddass. It looks very… It’s… really, you would expect the Raiders to play in there.”

The conversation took place during Super Bowl week and based on how long the interview lasted, it’s clear White had other commitments. Regardless of the time, it’s evident he is really excited about the Raiders playing in Sin City.

“If your a Raiders fan, why would you not want to come to Vegas and see the Raiders play. It’s an absolute no brainer and if you’re an opposing team to the Raiders and you’re gonna go to an away game, you’re gonna wanna go to the away game in Vegas.”

And for those hesitant to take a trip there, White added, “C’mon, you’re a Raiders fan, it makes all the sense in the world. You get to come to Vegas every weekend and watch your team play. It’s a no brainer, you know what I mean?”

As White said during the interview, the Raiders playing in Las Vegas should have happened a long time ago.
