Raiders Ramping Up For 2020 Season

The Only Nation Podcast gets listeners ramped up for the regular season with the Las Vegas Raiders! The crew gets together and discuss training camp matters and touch on a wide range of topics. Raiders training camp and a look at the league

Episode 21 of The Only Nation Podcast starts off with a general overview of training camp and Allegiant Stadium sitting empty for college football this year. It continues on with the news that Ricky’s Sports Theatre and Grill, an unofficial home for Raider Nation, struggling to stay solvent during the coronavirus pandemic.

In further news, the crew offers their condolences to running back Lynn Bowden Jr, who lost his grandmother to COVID-19 and running back William Stanback, who lost both of his parents within a 10 day period at the end of July.

T3RaiderFax shares his positive thoughts on linebacker Nick Kwiatkoski, linebacker Javin White and safety Johnathan Abram. He then calls into question the play of defensive end Arden Key and offensive tackle Brandon Parker. T3 wraps up his segments by sharing the origin of the phrase “cheating is encouraged” in Raiders lore. Be sure to listen to the whole story as it includes Phil Villapiano racing around on a child’s tricycle.

The final segment remembers the fight for civil liberties by Clem Daniels. It details when he led the boycott of the 1965 AFL All-Star game in New Orleans. While a broken leg cut Daniels’ career short, he spent the rest of his life continuing the fight for equality.
