This Sunday, the Las Vegas Raiders will take on the Buffalo Bills for their second home game of the season. The Bills, who are 3-0, have not had the toughest start to the season, based on their schedule.
The Raiders are better than other teams the Bills have faced in 2020
The Raiders started the 2020 season with two wins, one over the ailing Carolina Panthers and the other against the stronger New Orleans Saints. The Silver and Black’s most recent loss arrived in Foxborough against the 2-1 New England Patriots.
The Raiders will face off against a Buffalo Bills team that hasn’t had the toughest early schedule in the league. The Bills began their season against the Jets who currently hold a 0-3 record and have yet to take a lead in any of their three losses. The Bills then played against the Miami Dolphins who are still in the rebuilding phase of their franchise and are lead by journeyman quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick.
The only formidable opponent the Bills have had was the Los Angeles Rams in Week 3. The Rams have an efficient quarterback, a dazzling and intelligent coach. Moreover, they possess a defensive line opposing offenses fear throughout the league. The Bills beat the Rams 35-32. They led 28-3 at one point before the Rams came alive in the second half and almost took over the game completely. Quarterback Josh Allen, the mobile and very capable quarterback, engineered a game-winning drive with the help of wide receiver Stefan Diggs.

The Silver and Black also has to do its part
This article isn’t about the Bills winning, we promise. Rather, it is about the Bills being fairly untested up until their meeting with the Rams. The Raiders, like the Rams, are also not an opponent the Bills can breeze over. The Jets are basically not strong on either side of the ball and the Dolphins aren’t much better off. The Bills have taken advantage of those games to work the kinks out. The Raiders on the other hand have had good experience from two tough opponents in their most recent games.
Coming off the devastating loss to the Patriots, the Raiders will have a true chance to shock and ultimately beat down the Bills. Running back Josh Jacobs can wear down the clock and exhaust the Bills superb defense. This will also be accomplished with the long drives we’ve seen quarterback Derek Carr lead his team down the field with. Keeping the defense on the field and exhausting them will be key. What that will do is also keep Allen off the field so he doesn’t put up another 300+ yard day and four touchdowns as he did in Week 3.
The biggest part of this is the Raiders need to play mistake-free football. They can’t afford more fumbles, and the tackling most improve. It was atrocious against the Patriots and will not suffice against Josh Allen and their dynamic offense.
The Bills had better not underestimate the boys from Vegas and believe they can breeze through another win. The Raiders can’t allow this Buffalo team to come out of Allegiant Stadium with their fourth win of the season.
