Looking back, we thought the Las Vegas Raiders weren’t going to have much trouble scoring in Week 4. The Buffalo Bills had allowed 300 passing yards in back-to-back games. Their run defense looked vulnerable, we thought this Las Vegas team was going to get their second win of the season. However, that wasn’t the case on Sunday when they beat the Silver and Black. They moved to 4-0 while the Raiders dropped to 2-2.Â
The Raiders couldn’t sustain drives
The Bills were the first one to score when quarterback Josh Allen found wide receiver Gabriel Davis for a 26-yard touchdown. Later in the same quarter, kicker Daniel Carlson hit a 54-yard field goal. Buffalo struck again in the second quarter when Allen hit wide receiver Cole Beasley for his second passing touchdown of the day. The Raiders would kick their second field goal of the game.
It seemed like the Raiders weren’t going to be able to score. However, quarterback Derek Carr cut the deficit to 17-13 with a three-yard touchdown pass to tight end Jason Witten. Although they were losing, it wasn’t by much.

Turnovers didn’t help matters
Things stayed pretty much the same in the third quarter. The Raiders did the only scoring when Carlson hit his third field goal of the day. Nevertheless, things took a turn in the fourth quarter when the Bills scored a pair of touchdowns to make the score 30-16. The fact Carr and Waller lost fumbles didn’t help matters. The Raiders were moving the ball efficiently only to see drives end in turnovers. They scored one last touchdown with 1.29 left on the clock, but by then, the game was out of hand. In a last-ditch effort, they tried a desperation onside kick to no avail.
The Bills reached the 30-point mark for the third straight week and they had no problem moving the ball against the Raiders. Paul Guenther’s defense was its leaky self and let this Bills team march downfield throughout the game. Turning the ball didn’t help the Raiders either, they had some nice drives in the fourth quarter, but they couldn’t capitalize on them. The Silver and Black now find themselves with a 2-2 record and wondering what they need to do to get back to the winning column.
