Raiders Week 4 Inactives: LB Nick Kwiatkoski Returns To Lineup

Even though we’re barely in Week 4, it somehow feels like we’re already in the middle of the 2020 season. One of the reasons for that is the number of injuries we have attested. The Las Vegas Raiders are no different from other teams and have taken a toll on them.

The Raiders aren’t getting much from their 2020 rookie class

It will be interesting if injuries have gone up in comparison to other years. Another reason why teams aren’t at full strength is the COVID-19 pandemic. The season was successful in keeping the number of cases low but has had a more difficult time containing the spread in recent days. We will monitor whether this gets out of hand or they can keep it in check. In the meantime, let’s see what the Raiders got ahead of their matchup against the Buffalo Bills at Allegiant Stadium.

After missing the Raiders Week 3 matchup, wide receiver Henry Ruggs won’t dress up in Week 4. Fellow rookie Bryan Edwards’ status was more certain and we knew he would miss the game. Right tackle Trent Brown is still out with a calf injury. He also missed the last two games and hardly played in the team’s season opener.

There are some good news too

On the other hand, the Raiders got some good news and linebacker Nick Kwiatkoski will play against the Bills. The Silver and Black defense will benefit from having their captain back after missing the last two games and a half. Tackle Sam Young is back too, which bodes well for the offensive line. He will take over the right tackle position, a move that will likely slide Denzell Good to left guard.

The Raiders are dealing with plenty of injuries at the moment but they still have enough talent to take on the Bills. Running back Josh Jacobs is healthy and this Buffalo team is giving up 106 rushing yards per game. Also, their secondary has allowed more than 300 yards in back-to-back games.

Although the Bills offense poses a tough challenge, the Raiders will also get a chance to feast on their defense. The win could go either way, that’s why it’s so important for the Raiders to build an early lead and not take the foot off the pedal.
