The Las Vegas Raiders went into Arrowhead Stadium and defeated the Kansas City Chiefs today. In doing so, Raider Nation had plenty to say on Twitter.
The Silver and Black played their best of the game and looked almost unrecognizable, especially on offense with quarterback Derek Carr taking shots downfield. The returning Henry Ruggs III was a game-changer as he opened up head coach Jon Gruden’s offense today. Clearly, this was a missing element in the last two games. Nelson Agholor also continued to show why he is so far the Raiders’ best free-agent acquisition. Defensive coordinator Paul Guenther coached probably the best game of his entire Raiders’ tenure. It was a refreshing site to continuously see the Raiders defensive line get in Patrick Mahomes’ face and generate pressure.
We even had fans on Twitter give their GIF reactions to the first half, they did not disappoint. Enough from me though, let’s see what Raider Nation had to say today.

It would be better if #Raiders didn’t have a bye coming, they could carry this momentum. They shouldn’t lose it though. This was the biggest win for this franchise in years, finally beating KC being 14 point underdogs is huge. Defense played a bend but don’t break game

Today’s game showcases why I am critical of Carr. He CAN do this, no doubt about it. But he struggles to do this even remotely close to consistently, especially against good teams/defenses.

All Fair Points By Raiders Twitter
It was no surprise that most pundits and media personalities gave the Raiders no chance in this game. And why would they? The defense was playing terribly, in particular, covering the pass. By all accounts, Mahomes should have carved up the Silver and Black defense.
This game really did have the makings of what we would call an “Al Davis” type of game. The beautiful passing by Carr to Ruggs and Agholor, taking shot deep, and just taking it to the Chiefs would have made the “Maverick” proud. Speaking of Carr, Nick Hjeltness, former editor at Just Blog Baby, pointed out that the quarterback deserves all the praise he will be getting today. However, Carr will need to show he can do this on a more consistent basis and more importantly, the NFL’s elite like he did with the Chiefs today.
