Even though the Las Vegas Raiders were on a bye last week, we are still here grinding along with a special episode.
The Only Nation Podcast: Plenty of Raiders news in Week 7
In this week’s edition of The Only Nation Podcast, we present a bye week special. After beating the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead, the Raiders deserved some rest. This was arguably the biggest victory they had in recent years and they needed to regroup in order to keep winning the rest of the season. Having said that, even though the Raiders didn’t play in Week 6, there is plenty to talk about.
We start off the show with a quick look at some Raiders news. Most of the news centers around cornerback Damon Arnette and offensive tackle Trent Brown, who are currently on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Along with Brown’s placement on the list, the entire starting offensive line was sent home in a precautionary move. We take a look at the current power rankings and throw a well-deserved bone to fullback Alec Ingold.
We then discuss the upcoming game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and give our predictions for the game. Two of us see the Raiders coming out with the victory, but one of us has the Bucs leaving with the win. This will be an interesting matchup as the Silver and Black could be without their starting offensive line.
We wrap up the special by telling the story of a memorable Raiders game for each of us. Heidi recalls one from the Colorado mountains in 2004, Homer relives a recent Buccaneers game, and T3 takes us back to a classic Monday Night Football matchup.
