This one was going to be a difficult one regardless of what the Las Vegas Raiders did due to the weather conditions. After a sloppy start, the Silver and Black came out of FirstEnergy Stadium with their fourth win of the year.
The Raiders let some opportunities get out of their hands
The Raiders had a solid start and drove 52 yards in their first possession of the game. However, they couldn’t get any points out of it because kicker Daniel Carlson missed a 41-yard attempt. We don’t blame the Auburn standout much as the wind wasn’t helping one bit.
The Raiders defense would later force a fumble and get the ball back. Again, the offense came out empty-handed. It wasn’t until their third possession that they finally got three points off Carlson’s second field goal attempt of the day. This time, he nailed it, but the Browns had scored already scored in their previous possession, so the game was tied.
Right before the end of the second quarter, Raiders wide receiver Henry Ruggs III seemed to have caught a touchdown pass. In the end, the referees ruled it as an incomplete pass. Head coach Jon Gruden challenged the call but it stood. They had to settle for a field goal and went into halftime with a 6-3 lead.

The second half
The Browns were quick to strike a the beginning of the third quarter. They drove 55 yards and scored their second field goal of the game, which help them tie the game once again. That was the only time either team scored in the third quarter. However, things would change in the fourth quarter and quarterback Derek Carr found wide receiver Hunter Renfrow for a four-yard touchdown. That was the first time in the game the Silver and Black led the game by more than three points.
The Raiders didn’t stop there and grew a bigger lead after kicking another field goal. Although the Browns attempted a comeback, they weren’t able to put any more points on the scoreboard. With a final 16-6 score, the Silver and Black earned their fourth win of the year, and they got it under bad climate conditions. Despite the mistakes, they should head back to Las Vegas content about their hard-fought game.
