Raiders WR Corps Took A Back Seat In Week 10

In one of their best defensive games in recent memory, the Las Vegas Raiders took down the Denver Broncos in dominant fashion in Week 10. Let’s take a look at how the Raiders receiving squad did this game.

In Week 10, running back Josh Jacobs led the Raiders in receptions with four. Tight end Darren Waller and wider receiver Henry Ruggs III were next with three each. Quarterback Derek Carr went 16-of-25 for 154 yards but no touchdowns on the day.

The Raiders scored 37 points against the Broncos. However, Carr could not find any success in the air as Nelson Agholor couldn’t come down with the ball in the endzone as the drive ended in a field goal. Josh Jacobs and Devontae Booker were responsible for all four touchdowns for Vegas as they split with two apiece.

One wide receiver who certainly had an interesting game was Hunter Renfrow. The Clemson standout had three receptions for 30 yards with one of the receptions going for 25 yards on the Raider’s opening drive. He also had 20 three punt returns that combined for 20 total yards.

The first return was for 29 yards that didn’t count due to a penalty on Keisean Nixon. The most painful for Renfrow was when he brought back a punt all the way back for a touchdown that went for 60 yards, but once again was taken away because of a penalty on Johnathan Abram.

How did the former Alabama duo do in their matchup?

We saw a little more of Henry Ruggs III today as he went up against his old teammate, Jerry Juedy. Jeudy seems to be an intricate part of the Broncos offense as the season has gone on. Ruggs is still looking for a solid role with the Raiders offense.

Although Denver came out with the loss, Jerry Jeudy looked better than Henry Ruggs III in their first of many matchups. Jeudy had four receptions going for 48 yards including a 26-yard reception. Ruggs had a little more action as he had three receptions going for 31 yards with one going for 21 yards. Ultimately, Ruggs would rather go home with the win.
