Raiders Podcast: What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas

Other than a couple of headlines that we first glance upon, we spend most of the evening talking to Las Vegas Raiders beat reporter Scott Gulbransen.

Listen to “Ep 46 – What happens in Vegas, stays with Scott (Gulbransen)” on Spreaker.

The Only Nation Podcast welcomes Scott Gulbransen of Silver & Black Today

In Raiders news, they announced the hiring of a tiny army of defensive coaches from the Los Angeles Chargers. We also cover potential draft picks and cut and keeps from the Raiders’ own roster.

Beyond the headlines, we get into the nitty-gritty of the interview. The first topic off the board is the uniqueness that Raider Nation Radio has in the NFL. There’s no other NFL team that has a radio partnership such as the Silver and Black.

Allegiant Stadium, the Raiders, and the seas beyond

We then discuss the presence of Allegiant Stadium and how special it will be for fans to be allowed inside. Keep in mind that even though the venue was inaugurated last season, it wasn’t open to the public due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While speaking about Raider Nation, it did not take long for the tides to change and turn towards quarterback Derek Carr. Knowing that the Carr debate will run hard and far, we move towards players who will make that performance jump between this season and next.

To wrap up the interview, we discuss the schemes, talks, and learnings that Gus Bradley will instill onto the defense. The final topic takes a look at professional sports in the greater Las Vegas area. Make no mistake, the Autumn Wind is at the forefront of the race and leads the pack by a mile.
