While the Las Vegas Raiders already have a Pro Bowl ball carrier in Josh Jacobs, the depth behind him is thin, as Devontae Booker will likely hit the open market and Jalen Richard could be a potential cap casualty. The Raiders would be in trouble should Jacobs go down.
Therefore, Las Vegas could use a reliable veteran to take some of the burden off “’28’. Here are a few they could look into in free agency.
Devontae Booker
One of the more obvious choices, Booker surprised in his first season in Vegas. Registering 423 yards and three touchdowns, Booker was a rock-solid second option in the Raiders’ backfield. Moreover, Booker should come cheap, so Las Vegas needs to seriously consider a reunion.

Mark Ingram
After a fantastic 2019 season, Ingram regressed massively in 2020. After only posting 299 yards and two scores, Mark Ingram is no longer a starting NFL running back. For the Raiders, however, he would be a reliable backup who has starting experience. On top of this, he is a tremendous locker room guy who would instantly add energy to the team as a whole.
Le’Veon Bell
Bell didn’t look like his old self with the Kansas City Chiefs, racking up 63 carries for 254 yards and two touchdowns in nine games. Nevertheless, this would not be a huge issue for the Raiders, as they only need him as a secondary ball carrier.
Bell, is a patient runner who would benefit from the Raiders’ talented front five. He will also be a tremendous option on passing downs. After all the mess that was 2020, he will probably come much cheaper than he would have in free agency 2019.
Should Jacobs miss games in 2021 (he’s missed four in two seasons) these players would be reliable options in his stead. Adding to their value, they will all come on cheap contracts allowing the Raiders to add elsewhere. While the Raiders are not in dire need of a running back, solid depth should always be sought after.
