Cordarrelle Patterson who left the Minnesota Vikings to join the Oakland Raiders might be trying to lure his former teammate Adrian Peterson just as the team might be trying to land Marshawn Lynch.

Via Patterson’s official Twitter account he made his pitch for Peterson pubic just a couple days ago.

Mike Florio of NBC’s Pro Football Talk reported earlier today on Patterson’s pitch to Peterson.

“Via Ben Goessling of ESPN.com, former Vikings wideout Cordarrelle Patterson is recruiting Adrian Peterson to Oakland. “Come join the dark side,” Patterson said on Twitter in a message to Peterson.”

“Given that the Raiders likely will have to send a draft pick or other consideration to the Seahawks to get Lynch, it makes sense to consider Peterson, who is available as a free agent. But with Peterson on the market for nine days and counting, the Raiders have made no apparent effort to pursue him.” -NBC’s Mike Florio

In spite of all the Lynch rumors there’s still no official word from Lynch himself so maybe it would make sense that the team might be looking at Peterson to fill the “bruiser” void left by Latavius Murray.

Florio also mentioned the lack of interest shown in Peterson’s services so there might still be hope for those in Raider Nation that would love to see him finish his career in Silver and Black.
