Raiders bring back homegrown talent

The Oakland Raiders have been busy as they re-signed some talent according to Vince Sapienza of FOX 5 Las Vegas as he shared the news via his Twitter account today.

The team is bringing back a young group of players in wide receiver Seth Roberts, tight end Gabe Holmes, defensive linemen Denico Autry, and  guard Denver Kirkland.

Roberts figures to be the biggest signing of this group as he looks to be the slot receiver of the future for Raiders; perhaps the Raiders’ own Randall Cobb.

Roberts will continue to be a part of an imposing receiver corps and one where last season he contributed with five touchdowns.

Holmes is an interesting signing since the Raiders still have Clive Walford and signed free agent Jared Cook so how exactly he fits into any long-term plans will remain to be seen.

Kirkland and Autry will continue to provide on both sides of the trenches for the Silver and Black. Once again general manager Reggie McKenzie continues to hold onto drafted and homegrown talent.
