Record Year To Date
Rory: 50-51-6
Chris: 45-56-6
Record Week 7- Finally getting back on track. Well… one of us is. Of course that means this week is going to suck.
Rory: 9-4-1
Chris: 6-7-1
Mia @ Hou -7.5
Rory: After winning four in a row in somewhat maniacal fashion, I’m thinking the Dolphins win this outright. That said, 7.5 points is way too much to eat with the Texans.
Chris: Houston is on fire lately and with the resurgence of Lamar Miller, that will only help the rest of the offensive attack.
Phil @ Jac +3.5
Rory: It is the magic of Shad Khan’s wonderful mustache, it gives the Jaguars wonderful London powers.
Chris: There is something about the Jags playing in London…this is the only reason I’m picking them. I think they know how to manage this situation better and the team that best gets acclimated to a new country and time zone could be the winner. Maybe we get another tie again here maybe not.
Cle @ Pit -8
Rory: Cleveland is generally pretty good at keeping it close yet still losing. I am all for them doing it again.
Chris: I think Big Ben feeds Antonio Brown and the Steelers should cover at home.
Den @ KC -10
Rory: You are learning Padawan. Chiefs at home. Fade the away team always.
Chris: A wise man (aka Rory himself) once said never pick against the Chiefs at home. I made that mistake last week and I won’t let it happen again.
NYJ @ Chi -7
Rory: This is the third game where the home favorite is getting too many points in my opinion. New York Jets should be able to keep this game competitive maybe they get a back door cover.
Chris: The Bears defense has been absent the last two weeks…fancy that, especially with such a profound edge rusher, one would think they’d be better as of late. Of course, I say that a bit tongue in cheek, but Mack has been a no-show in recent weeks. However, that offense is no joke and I think they cover the spread in a shoot-out.
Was @ NYG -1
Rory: Listen to Chris. Go Skins.
Chris: New York is a dumpster fire. With rumblings of Eli headed to the bench, I’m staying away from picking the Giants. Redskins it is.
Sea @ Det -3
Rory: Matt Stafford will go down as one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play for a perpetually underachieving franchise. This will be one of those games where he shows how good he is. Lions win snugly.
Chris: The Lions are only three-point favorites, and I agree this game will be close, but I could also see this going the other way in that margin. I’ll take the Seahawks.
TB @ Cin -4.5
Rory: Both of these teams are in a state of flux. However, the Bengals have shown they can be borderline dominant when they want to be. At home I think Dalton and AJ Green do work.
Chris: The Bengals have been up and down this season and I think the Bucs capitalize off the Bengals still come back after a disappointing loss last week. I’ll take the Bucs here and Mike Evans has a huge day.
Bal @ Car +1
Rory: I just cannot trust these Panthers and as much as it pains me to put faith in Flacco, the dude abides. Baltimore wins by a score.
Chris: If the Panthers can play four quarters of football how they played in the fourth quarter last week, they could be right back in the Super Bowl.
Ind @ Oak +3
Rory: First Mack, now Amari. Weirdly enough, the trading of Amari Cooper and the Marshawn injury might get this offense back on track. Marcell Ateman could be the next Marques Colston and attacking up the seams could be deadly. I am rolling with Oakland against better judgment.
Chris: Record-wise this game is a ‘toilet bowl’ game, however, with all the turmoil surrounding this game, I think Derek Carr shows up big time and has a huge came. Call me a homer, but I’m saying 400+ yards and three touchdowns, Oakland wins.
SF @ Az PK
Rory: Uhhh…… Niners…..sure why not?
Chris: This is another ‘toilet bowl’ game, I guess I’ll take the Niners?
GB @ LAR -9
Rory: This has nothing to do with Green Bay. Other than the fact their defense is spotty most of the time and the Rams defense will destroy the pocket against Aaron Rodgers. Rams win big going full Limp Bizkit. They just keep rolling.
Chris: All I’m going to say here about this is, the Rams offense is RIDICULOUS!!!!
NO @ Minn -1
Rory: In a dome, any dome, the Saints are dangerous. Dangerous enough to pull off a last second win.
Chris: A rematch of last year’s playoff game…Saints get the job done in a revenge game.
NE @ Buf -14
Rory: Patriots. I have literally nothing to say other than that.
Chris: Fourteen points is a lot to cover, but the Bills are pretty bad and the Patriots are pretty good. I think they will win by a lot more than 14 as Josh Gordon has a huge game.
Games We Disagree: Mia @ Hou -7.5, Cle @ Pit -8, NYJ @ Chi -7, Sea @ Det -3, TB @ Cin -4.5, Bal @ Car +1
