Record Last Week: Goodness Chris is en fuego
Rory: 6-7
Chris: 11-2
Record Year To Date: Chris might be cheating
Rory: 59-69-6
Chris: 65-63-6
Car @ Pit -4
Rory: Carolina is one of the sneaky consistent teams in the NFL this season. No matter what, I think this one stays close and four points is one more than close.
Chris: I like the Steelers with home-field advantage this week. I think this is a close game, it could go either way.
Buf @ NYJ -7.5
Rory: Darnold is out for this game, but I simply do not trust the Bill’s offense to keep it close. McCown should be able to keep the Jet offense on track.
Chris: This could prove to be a stupid decision, but I’m going to be bold and say the Bills win. Ok, maybe not win but at least cover the spread.
NE @ Ten +7
Rory: The Flying Elvises take their game to the epicenter of Honkey Tonk. There is probably a joke there, but I simply cannot come up with it. Patriots cover as per the usual.
Chris: Chris got some bad info on who the underdog is in this game, so he doesn’t have a funny retort here. He did want everyone to know that he’s got the Pats.
Det @ Chi -7
Rory: This is all bad and two teams I loathe to trust. Yeesh, I will take the Bears and a broken Khalil Mack. Maybe.
Chris: The Lions are in a must-win situation if they want to have any shot at the playoffs. I think a desperate Matt Stafford keeps this one close enough to cover the spread.
NO @ Cin +5
Rory: Fading dome teams outside is smart business. That said, the Saints are firing on all cylinders and the ground game is there for them. I think they win this by a bunch.
Chris: I’m not a huge fan of the Saints playing outside of a dome. They just look different, with that I’ll say the Bengals cover at home.
Jac @ Ind -3
Rory: Jacksonville is a mess. Indianapolis is doing enough with a not very good team to win. This could be one of those games where things go completely haywire, but I don’t think it will. Colts win by a touchdown.
Chris: I think the return of Fournette helps the Jags and we see a good version of Blake Bortles as well.
Atl @ Cle +5
Rory: Atlanta led by new star pass rusher Bruce Irvin….. Ok that’s nonsense. But Atlanta still wins big.
Chris: I think this game has the potential to be a shootout. The Falcons defense isn’t great and their offense can put up points fast, regardless of who they are playing. I’ll take Atlanta on the road.
Was @ TB -3
Rory: Two of the most inconsistent teams in the NFL collide for what surely should be a completely mediocre game of football with the Redskins winning.
Chris: What version of the Redskins will we see this week? I think it will be one that is good enough to beat the Bucs, despite having a banged up injury-riddled offensive line.
AZ @ KC -17
Rory: Chiefs. Literally didn’t even have to think.
Chris: 17 is a lot of points to cover. However, to put it simply, the Chiefs are good and the Cardinals are bad.
LAC @ Oak +10
Rory: Never sleep on the Raiders having a close game with the Chargers in a meaningless season. Problem is, I have zero faith in Jon Gruden. Chargers should win by at least 14.
Chris: The Chargers might win this one by 40. That’s all I have to say.
Mia @ GB -10
Rory: Green Bay’s offense has been unpredictable with the Rodgers injury. This is a lot of chalk to eat for a team that isn’t really worthy of that kind of faith. I just can’t do it. Phins it is.
Chris: The Packers haven’t done enough to give me confidence they can win by 10 against many NFL teams and the Dolphins are one of them. Give me the Phins!
Sea @ LAR -10
Rory: I have a sneaky suspicion the Seahawks keep this close, but my suspicion isn’t sneaky enough to put faith in it. Rams go big.
Chris: Rams at home? Ya, I’ll take them.
Dal @ Phi -7
Rory: Amari Cooper and the Cowboys will fight valiantly and…. Not lose by too much.
Chris: The Cowboys are falling apart and the Eagles have home field. I’ll take the birds here.
NYG @ SF -3
Rory: The games that make you cringe. Just give me the Giants because Barkley. Nothing else.
Chris: The Niners are as what President Trump would say, are “fake news” after last week. They played a terrible Oakland defense and I think Mullens doesn’t have as strong of an outing. Look for Barkley to go off this week for the Giants.
