Degeneration R: Taking on the Lines NFL Week 11

These lines are from the Bovada sportsbook as of 11/13/2018.

Record Last Week: Back to normal.

Rory: 6-7-1

Chris: 5-8-1

Record Year To Date: I am coming for you Chris. It’s on.

Rory: 65-76-7

Chris: 70-71-7

GB @ SEA -3

Rory: You cannot overlook the possibility that Aaron Rodgers and the Packers may have finally found their groove this season. However, they are playing in Seattle and that brings challenges. Enough challenges that I like Seattle winning by at least three.

Chris: The Packers destroyed the Dolphins last week, and I think that will give them a boost as they are competing for a playoff spot.

DAL @ ATL -3

Rory: Dallas is coming off of a decent win, but the Falcons are dynamite when playing on carpet. This might be a shootout but eventually I think Dallas won’t be able to go blow for blow.

Chris: I am very stubborn when it comes to the Falcons, and I feel like I pick them almost every week and here I am again doing it. Don’t be surprised if the Cowboys pull out a road victory after a big win last week.

TB @ NYG -1

Rory: The thing about Fitz-magic is you never know when he strikes again. Just when you think he is down and out he pulls a rabbit out of a particular place that needs not to be mentioned. This is all gut instinct, but Tampa Bay wins this.

Chris: Neither team is very good all this game serves is helping solidify the draft order. The New York Football Giants win their second straight and help solidify the Raiders odds at the first pick.

CAR @ DET +4

Rory: Watch out for Chris’ wicked pun. Detroit getting more than a field goal at home is hard to pass up.

Chris: The Panthers got pounced on last week, but I think they bounce back in a battle of the cats as they cover the spread against the Lions.

CIN @ BAL PE

Rory: I hate pick em lines. Problem is both of these teams have been questionable lately. With Teryl Austin being ousted in Cincinnati I have to go with the Ravens.

Chris: I’m picking the Ravens based on the assumption Lamar Jackson starts this game. I think he has a strong performance and remains the starter (if he indeed starts this game).

TEN @ IND -2

Rory: When I watch the Colt offense I cry. I weep because it is the offense the Raiders should be running. It is beautiful. It shall best the Titans.

Chris: Even after beating the Patriots the Titans are getting no love, but they are dark horse in the AFC this year…look out.

PIT @ JAC +6

Rory: This matchup historically is very tight. The last game these two played was a 45-42 barnburner. Pittsburgh’s defense won’t be great, but they should open up a lead so fast they take Fournette out of the game.

Chris: The Steelers showed last week they are serious about taking the AFC crown, I think they build on last week and take down the Jags.

HOU @ WAS +3

Rory: Redskins getting points at home is easy. Skins all day.

Chris: I say the winning streak continues for the Texans!

DEN @ LAC -7

Rory: I think Chris calls the Chargers the “best kept secret in the NFL” every week. Yes they are playing well and Bosa might be back, they should supercharge those Broncos.

Chris: The Chargers are the best-kept secret in the NFL right now. They don’t get talked about much, yet they keep picking up wins and I think they add one more against the Broncos.

OAK @ AZ -4

Rory: The Raider defense kinda showed up last week. The Cardinals are just as bad as the Raiders and at some point they will win a game. It’s just inevitable.

Chris: I hate to say it but the Raiders have looked atrocious, I sure as heck am not picking them to win or cover the spread on a road game. Cardinals win.

PHI @ NO -9

Chris: The Saints as Miley Cyrus would put it, “came in like a wrecking ball” and haven’t stopped their dismantling of NFL opponents and certainly doesn’t stop this week.

Rory: Also the Saints as Miley Cyrus would put it, “All you ever did was break me”. Philly is going to break down those walls.

MIN @ CHI -3

Rory: I don’t care how good the playcaller is, when you have an offense that is entirely based on the creativity of the guy calling plays at some point hiccups happen. He is one and the Vikings capitalize.

Chris: For the sake of the Raiders, it sure would help if the Bears would start losing some games, but they look like a solid playoff team and I see them coming away with a big divisional win at home this week over the Vikings.
