Well, it was ugly. Today’s game had all the makings of a classic trap game. Unfortunately, it was the Oakland Raiders who fell in it today.
The playoffs are not out of reach by any stretch, but by all this means this was a game the Raiders needed to win against a team “they had to beat.”
As Raider Nation can imagine it was also ugly on Twitter. People usually don’t mince words when it comes to a Raiders loss on social media and as you can imagine today was no exception.
Social Media Reaction to Raiders’ Ugly Loss
Should Gruden take Carr and Jacobs out of the game at this point?#Raiders #RaiderNation

It was so ugly by the third quarter that our readers vehemently responded to a poll stating that both Derek Carr and Josh Jacobs should be pulled. Can you blame them? You don’t ever want your team to throw in the towel but sometimes you just have to accept defeat, nothing remotely wront with that, right?

Things have to remain in perspective and Maurice Moton of Bleacher Report summed it up perfectly via his Twitter.
The sky is always falling after a loss. Teams win and lose one game at a time… https://t.co/W1ipQXFkye

But, fans just weren’t having it. Not at all.

It will be a long week for Raider Nation and it won’t get easier in Kansas City next week either. Until then, Ramble On Raider Nation.
