Going into Las Vegas, the Raiders will have a potentially explosive defensive line, and a large part possibly is thanks to Rod Marinelli.
Brining in Marinelli to handle defensive line duties is slowly becoming one of the most underrated decisions in recent memory for the Raiders. His track record as defensive line coach and coordinator in the NFL speaks for itself. So when Raiders brass hired him, naturally many thought he’d not only be an upgrade over Brentson Buckner but he’d be key in something else. That something is proving to be a pipeline to talent from the Dallas Cowboys.

This Group Will Roll Deep
The latest addition was defensive tackle Daniel Ross, before that, it was prized free agent signing Maliek Collins. That’s a lot of talent and that’s without even mentioning Maxx Crosby, Clelin Ferrell, and Maurice Hurst. Oh and let’s not forget the Raiders picked up Carl Nassib this free agency too. But that’s not all, scary as the prospect might be, the Silver and Black could still add to this unit via next month’s draft. And no, we didn’t forget the Raiders still have former third pick Arden Key in the mix.

Rod Marinelli has some juice. Ross played 16 games in 3 years for him in Dallas. Second Cowboys DT added in a week and fourth former Dallas player overall. https://t.co/2GHaYV1cm3

Despite missing the 2019 season, Ross showed flashes when did play in the previous two seasons. He had two fumble recoveries, two sacks, 19 total sacks, and got nine QB hits in those two years. If Ross is fully healthy then he’ll be in the mix with this deep group, and then the sky will be the limit for him in Vegas.
