After all the fuss and months of mock drafts, the Las Vegas Raiders finally selected wide receiver Henry Ruggs III with the No.12 pick of the 2020 NFL Draft.
General manager Mike Mayock and head coach Jon Gruden picked Ruggs III, finally giving quarterback Derek Carr a deep threat. So how did Raider Nation react to this pick? It was a mixed range of emotions to say the least. Regardless, fans did not disappoint with their opinions regarding the Raiders.

Raider Nation weighs in on the Henry Ruggs III pick
In response to a Tweet that was shared via the Raider Ramble account, several fans felt the pick was high for Ruggs III. However, one fan summed up it up quite well, he said “[Ruggs] is a compliment to Hunter Renfrow. Deep threat and speed…” Another fan felt that Jerry Jeudy should’ve been the pick at 12, seems like you couldn’t have gone wrong with either of the big three wide receivers.
WR1 and WR2 fell in your lap. Do not blow this @Raiders

Whether the Raiders “blew it” or not at wide receiver will depend on who you talk to on social media. If the Ruggs pick III doesn’t work out, the Raiders can only blame themselves as they had all three prospects to chose from. Maurice Moton of Bleacher Report also put the question out for Raider Nation via Twitter and once again the responses didn’t disappoint.
He has a real chance to be an incredibly impactful player. I do wonder if Lamb would have said they were sticking with Carr more long term. This doesn’t feel like a Carr guy to me

One of the biggest reasons for the Raiders picking up Ruggs was his speed. Sadly, one fan reminded us that speed doesn’t necessarily translate to production. We’ll leave you this final Tweet, Raider Nation. Ramble On.
