Overwhelmingly Positive Reaction To Raiders’ Day 2 of NFL Draft

The 2020 NFL Draft’s opening night left some bewildered in Raider Nation. The second night, which is as important as the first one, went way better than the first one according to Raiders fans.

General manager Mike Mayock and head coach Jon Gruden picked up a much needed wide receiver and a cornerback on Thursday. As far as Friday night goes, they opted to give incumbent starting quarterback Derek Carr a whole new arsenal of weapons. This new stockpile will feature Bryan Edwards and Lynn Bowden Jr.

The Responses

As far as Raider Nation’s response to this impressive assembly, we at the Raider Ramble asked our followers to chime in via Twitter.

Fans were quick to state that Carr finally was getting some help on offense. One fan replied that the Raiders were getting “more than just a receiver” with the Bowden pick. Raider Nation should rejoice the Raiders picked up this all-world offensive weapon. In spite of that, two other fans did not let up Carr, stating that “Mariota” got weapons and that all the Raiders need now is a “QB who can get them the ball.”

Obviously, fans are excited with Mayock’s picks on Day 2, but even Maurice Moton of Bleacher Report said via his Twitter this is the year the excuses end, results or bust.

Last year, Mayock’s rookie class surprised many with how well they performed, but more than that, fans were shock how many were drafted in the same class. It’s looking like 2020 will be no different. If anything, the bar has been set high by the likes of Josh Jacobs and Maxx Crosby. What do you think Raider Nation? Let us know in the comments below!
