In this week’s episode of the Only Nation Podcast, Heidi shows her true feelings about Las Vegas Raiders right tackle Trent Brown. Before you listen to the show, keep in mind that parental discretion is advised.
We start off talking about the Raiders performance against the Buccaneers. The passing game turned in a serviceable effort, but the rushing game did not fare as well as Josh Jacobs had 17 yards on 10 carries. To have an idea of how ineffective the running game was, quarterback Derek Carr was the second leading rusher with 19 yards.
Where Trent Brown Went Wrong
Then we get into Heidi’s opinion about Trent Brown and his apparent failure to follow COVID-19 protocol. He had tested positive earlier last week, but before those results came in, his behavior might have put his teammates at risk. He apparently took off his tracking bracelet, so contact tracers were unable to determine if any other Raiders were too close to him for too long.
Because of this, the entire starting offensive line was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list as a precaution. The Raiders also put safety Johnathan Abram on the list because of his uncertain presence with Brown. The starting line, Kolton Miller, Denzelle Good, Rodney Hudson and Gabe Jackson missed the entire week of practice. They were however active for the game. Abram actually ended up missing the game because he remained on the list.
Final thoughts about the Raiders Week 8 matchup
We then discuss our predictions for the upcoming Brown’s game. Once again, we are split on the outcome. This was a difficult one as the Raiders fell against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but beat the Kansas City Chiefs the week before. However, that’s not the end of the episode, and T3 shares a touching story about Al and Carole Davis.
Finally, Heidi wraps up the episode by sharing about a new Raiders player who has dealt with an incredible tragedy over the past couple of years. Make sure you listen to the whole episode until the end, every single segment is worth it.
