Raiders Week 10: 3 Bold Predictions Against Broncos

The Las Vegas Raiders have performed well in 2020 in spite of their tough schedule. They are coming off winning back-to-back games, one in Cleveland against a very solid Browns team, and another one against a division rival, the San Diego Chargers. If the Silver and Black want to win their sixth game of the year, they will have to beat the Denver Broncos. Here are three bold predictions.

1. The Raiders defense will force at least two turnovers

The Raiders’ defense is near the bottom of the league in forcing turnovers, but they will force at least two against the Broncos. Quarterback Drew Lock has six interceptions in 2020 and has even missed a few games. The Raiders should be able to force a couple of turnovers this game, more than the usual.

2. Rookie wide receiver Henry Ruggs III goes off

This season, rookie wide receiver Henry Ruggs III has seen just 21 targets. He has hauled in ten receptions, 220 yards, and one touchdown. He’s averaging 2.2 targets per game, but those numbers could go up against the Broncos. The Raiders need to give him an expanded role and Week 10 would be a good time to do so. Against the Broncos, he should get a season-high eight targets and catches at least six of them for 120 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

3. The Broncos defense won’t sack Derek Carr

The Broncos are seventh in the NFL in sacks, averaging about three per game. The Raiders are eleventh in the NFL in giving up sacks, due to their offensive line being banged up all year. They’re allowing about two a game, which isn’t too bad when you take into account that they haven’t had a healthy offensive line at all.

Most of their offensive line could be out this week, so it’s pretty bold to say they won’t give up any sacks, especially against the Broncos defense and with it being a divisional game.
