Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes Gets Some Retribution Vs Raiders

Even though it came down to the final minutes, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes pulled it off against the Las Vegas Raiders. Fans of the Silver and Black may not want to hear it but ’15’ got some payback, and the rivalry is officially back.

There were some big mistakes Mahomes made in this contest, especially that costly interception. Unfortunately, the Raider’s defense isn’t capable of putting away any teams. As great and efficient as the offense has been, the Achilles’ Heel is Paul Guenther’s unit and the Chiefs quarterback was sure to remind Raider Nation of this cold truth on Sunday night.

Overall, Mahomes threw 34 completions totaling 348 passing yards, with two touchdowns and that big interception. He also broke off a nice 11-yard run against the Raiders’ defense. Despite some mistakes by the Chiefs, the Raiders couldn’t finish the job and Mahomes made them pay. He completed a game-winning touchdown to his tight end, Travis Kelce, to seal the deal with 28 seconds left.

The Chiefs Avenged Their Record’s Blemish Against The Raiders

Back in Week 5, safety Jeff Heat picked off Mahomes, which led to their only 2020 loss. Well, at the end of the first half on Sunday, Mahomes threw another interception. Cornerback Trayvon Mullen was the one to do it this time. Interestingly enough, the Chiefs quarterback has thrown two interceptions this year, both against the Raiders.

That being said, it just wasn’t enough for the Raiders this time. Guenther’s squad just couldn’t deal with two All-Pros in Mahomes and Kelce. The Silver and Black now find themselves in second place but three games behind with just six more games. The silver lining here though is that yes, Mahomes is great but now, but Las Vegas can now hang with the defending champs. We are sure that Raider Nation will happily take this comforting prospect.
