The Chiefs rolled into Vegas and barely escaped with a victory. Now the Las Vegas Raiders must shake off the loss and begin another winning streak in Atlanta.
The Only Nation Podcast – Chiefs Barely Escape Vegas
Our episode this week sees Homer, Heidi, and T3 dissecting the Raiders’ loss to the Kansas City Chiefs this past Sunday. The Silver and Black led 31-28 with less than two minutes left in the game. However, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes would then bring his team back to a hard-foughKansast 35-31 victory.
Quarterback Derek Carr was nearly flawless that night while throwing for almost 300 yards and three touchdowns. The Silver and Black’s running game never quite hit all cylinders, but Josh Jacobs spearheaded the rushing attack with a touchdown. Jacobs and Devontae Booker combined for a total of 75 yards on the ground.

The Raiders had a chance to win this one
The passing game led the pace with Nelson Agholar, Darren Waller, and Jason Witten all pulling in touchdown grabs. Had the Raiders’ wide receiver corps not dropped some key passes, we could be talking about the team’s seventh victory instead of their fourth loss.Â
The defense didn’t help matters either, as they couldn’t stop Mahomes from driving down the field and scoring the winning touchdown. Surprisingly, the team didn’t make any of their players available after the game.
Looking ahead, all three hosts see the upcoming Falcons game ending with the same winner. Later in the show, Homer learns about the original bus scandal that the Silver and Black partook in in Kansas City a quarter-century ago. Heidi then wraps up the episode with a true Thanksgiving story for a little cat named Bella.
