2 Interior D-Linemen Raiders Can Consider in Round 2

The Las Vegas Raiders still need to address their defensive line’s interior later this week at the NFL draft. As luck would have it, there are two prospects they could take in the second round.

The Raiders’ defensive line saw an infusion of talent this offseason via NFL free agency. Along with bringing in Yannick Ngakoue and Solomon Thomas, the team brought back Johnathan Hankins. All these moves will certainly pay dividends under new defensive coordinator Gus Bradley. However, more is needed from the line’s interior after not generating enough pressure from the inside. There could be different ways to approach this, such as moving Clelin Ferrell to the inside on a more permanent basis. Also, the Raiders could draft an interior lineman in the second round to help themselves.

Let’s say the organization drafts a starting tackle or safety in the first round, the next priority should be an interior lineman. Luckily, there are going to be some talented prospects that can help the Raiders plug the middle for the next decade. Under the tutelage of Bradley and Rod Marinelli, these two prospects could end up helping the team’s pass rush as well. Let’s take a look at these two defensive tackles the Silver and Black should consider in the second round.
