Raiders: A Closer Look At The New Defensive Line

The Las Vegas Raiders did their best to revamp much of their defensive line in the off-season. The Only Nation Podcast takes a closer look at some of their new additions.

This week’s episode starts off with the usual look at current Raiders news. The Silver and Black have already signed some of their draft picks. Safety Tyree Gillespie, cornerback Nate Hobbs, and center Jimmy Morrissey have all signed on the dotted line of their contracts.

The team’s official website has released a preview of all of the team’s prime-time games coming up this year. This includes the opening Monday Night game against the Ravens, the Thanksgiving game at the Cowboys, and divisional matchups between the Chiefs and the Chargers.

Additionally, we discuss a video where former Raider Eric Allen and coach Jon Gruden have an in-depth discussion with each other. They talk about the 2021 draft, free-agent acquisitions, Derek Carr, and more.

In the discussion portion of the episode, we dive into looking at four new members of the Raiders’ defensive line. We cover Solomon Thomas, Quinton Jefferson, and Darius Philon.

As mentioned last week, we start wrapping up the show with a schedule-related quiz. Finally, Heidi’s Heroes segment is back. This week we have another example of a high character player the Raiders brought in during the off-season.
