Raiders TE Darren Waller Looks To Reach Another Level In 2021

Las Vegas Raiders tight end Darren Waller recently made an appearance on NFL Network’s Good Morning Football. In the interview, he had interesting things to say about his preparation for 2021.

The star tight end is always looking to improve…

After a season where he recorded 107 catches, 1,196 yards, and nine touchdowns, no one would blame Waller for kicking his feet up. However, this is not the case according to the man himself. When asked how he is preparing for 2021, Waller mentioned that he’s trying to put himself ‘in some uncomfortable situations so that this season doesn’t surprise [him] in any way.

He added that he is ‘constantly trying to improve at his craft,‘ something that should be music to Raider Nation’s ears. To have a player of this caliber who is constantly trying to improve, is, well, a breath of fresh air.

Any improvement from the star tight end should be terrifying for the rest of the NFL. Not only that, but it would help cement Waller as a true superstar in the league.

Waller doesn’t allow a lack of respect to get to him…

Waller mentions that the lack of All-Pro votes didn’t bother him despite his historic season. ‘I spent so much of my life caring what other people thought about things that I couldn’t control and that left me depressed in all types of ways.‘ Not only is Waller a tremendous football player but he’s incredibly smart as well. By all accounts, it appears Waller’s always level-headed in his approach as he looks to lead the Raiders offense to new heights in 2021. He may even get to experience the playoffs for the first time in Silver and Black.
