Back it again for another Las Vegas Raiders home game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Let’s (try to) make some money! As always, lines are as of Friday afternoon via DraftKings.
Smartest Bet: Joe Mixon Over 65.5 Rushing Yards (-115)
Teams are starting to figure out that the Raiders defense is susceptible to the run. Also that establishing the run softens this defense up significantly. For those reasons, we should expect a heavy dose of Joe Mixon. Mixon is averaging over 70 yards per game on the ground this year. Meanwhile, the Raiders have allowed 129 rushing yards per game, good for the bottom six in the league. It’s hard to see any way Mixon finishes under 65 on the day.
Safest Bet: Daniel Carlson Over 1.5 Made Field Goals (+110)
The Raiders offense has struggled to find the end zone lately. That bodes well for Carlson. The Raiders should move the ball fairly well against the Bengals. However, they should wind up settling for several field goals. That should be an easy over to hit with Carlson being a solid kicker.
Best Risky Bet: Joe Mixon First Scorer (+650)
As mentioned earlier, expect to see a lot of Mixon, especially early on in the game. Don’t be surprised if he nabs the Bengals’ first touchdown of the game. Also, Cincy’s touchdown will likely be the first one of the game. The Raiders have been notoriously slow starters this year. I understand it may be frustrating to see all of these “pro Bengals” bets, but at least you get a consolation prize if this whole “Raiders collapse” thing is real.
