On this week’s episode of The Only Nation Podcast, we recap the Las Vegas Raiders’ victory over the Dallas Cowboys. Then we look towards the next game against the Washington Football Team.
The Raiders went on the road for Thanksgiving and came away with a 36-33 overtime victory over the Dallas Cowboys. That, coupled with the Denver Broncos’ win over the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, means that three teams are now tied for second place in the AFC West. All three teams are just a game behind KC, which was on a bye.
Derek Carr threw for 373 yards and a touchdown, with a 101.5 quarterback rating. This was Carr’s first 300+ yard passing game since Week 7 versus Philadelphia. It is also worth noting that the Raiders are undefeated in games in which Carr has thrown for at least 300 yards.
Not only did the Raiders win the thrilling holiday victory, but the entire nation watched the matchup. The game was the most-watched regular-season NFL game since 1990. CBS announced that an estimated 38.5 million viewers watched the game.
Darren Waller left the game with a knee injury and is considered by coach Rich Bisaccia to be “week to week”. There is still hope that he will suit up for the game against Washington.
