Back at it again! This has become the part of the Las Vegas Raiders’ seasons where things typically get ugly. Hopefully, we can ease the pain by winning some money. All lines are via Draft Kings as of Friday evening.
Smartest Bet: Kansas City -9.5 (-110)
I despise the fact that this is a good bet, but it is. The Raiders are officially in collapse mode. They had a chance to break the cycle. It looked like they could finally do it after Thanksgiving. Then, they lost at home to the Washington Football Team. Now, their playoff chances are somewhere between slim and none heading into a matchup with a surging Kansas City Chiefs team in Arrowhead in December. This is going to be a bloodbath. I hope I’m wrong, but it’s unlikely. Take the money as a consolation prize. 10 points may seem like a wide margin, but the Raiders don’t have the fight left in them to keep it close. If they get down, they will fold. Also, the money line is looking rough at -435, so just lay the points.
Safest Bet: Hunter Renfrow Over 6.5 Catches (-105)
Get this bet while you can. With Darren Waller officially out, the line and/or the odds will only get worse. Renfrow is guaranteed at least seven catches now that he is really the only receiver or tight end that Derek Carr trusts. Jump on this quick while there is still money to be made.
Best Risky Bet: Chiefs -9.5 and Under 47.5 Total Points (280)
That feels like a long shot, given the spread. For the Chiefs to win by this much, one would think that there would have to be a fair amount of scoring. However, there is more than what meets the eye here. The Chiefs’ defense has been playing better lately, while the Raiders’ offense has begun to crumble. Also, the Chiefs are likely to jump out to an early lead given that Vegas starts slow and Kansas City is just better.
That means that they will be able to run the ball a lot, which will work against a Raiders defense that has struggled in that area. In turn, that will shorten the game and limit junk-time opportunities for Vegas that could cover the spread or hit the over. Take this sneaky-good parlay for a solid payout.
