Derek Carr

A Big Game From Raiders QB Derek Carr & Other Bold Predictions

The Las Vegas Raiders are on life support. Again, how many times do fans have to put up with this before something changes? But that’s beside the point. The Silver and Black have a major divisional game coming up tomorrow, and one they have to win to even think about the playoffs.

Being from Kansas City, I’d prefer they prevent the avalanche of messages I’ll get if the Raiders lose. It seems that the Silver and Black play down to their competition every week. No matter who it is, that’s incredibly frustrating for Raider Nation. But it appears that the autumn wind might be blowing in the right direction again. With the return of Trayvon Mullen, a healthy DeSean Jackson, and Derek Carr needing to silence his doubters, the perfect storm might be building again.

DC plays like he did on Thanksgiving…

This game will go as Carr goes. If that doesn’t seem like the theme of the 2021 season, I don’t know what does. The Chiefs have been the same way, except they go as their defense does. Also, the Chiefs have struggled at home. As much as their rushing defense has struggled, Carr has to take advantage of their suspect pass defense. Being predictable isn’t going to work. Although their defense has its bad moments, they’re very opportunistic. Pushing the ball down field against a team that can explode at any minute is always pivotal. It seemed to be the game plan against the Dallas Cowboys. So, it has to be implemented again tomorrow. Although he has struggled in Kansas City, fans expect Carr to step up to the challenge. Oh, and no behind-the-line checkdowns.

The defense has a field day!

The Chiefs’ offense has been puzzling against teams that don’t come from Las Vegas. And not in a good way for Kansas City. They’ve found their identity more over the past few weeks, but I believe that castle can come down. Maxx Crosby is still due for a few sacks. Trevon Moehrig and the rest of the defense will look to fix their drops and get a few turnovers. As we saw last week, a turnover in the witching hour can win or lose you a game. The Raiders have to find a way to snag one. Being disruptive in every aspect of the defense will be key in getting a win. The 516 yards that the Raiders’ defense gave up in Week 10 has surely been bulletin board material for the unit. You’d think they’d want some payback tomorrow, no?

Raiders win on a last second field goal…

What would be more poetic? The Raiders have always taken care of their special team guys, so why not have one win the game for them? Daniel Carlson has shown why he deserves the money he just got. He’s been a pillar of consistency this season.
You never know which Raiders team is going to show up week to week. My cardiologist tells me to get out of this horribly toxic relationship with the Silver and Black. Yet here we all are. The Raiders have their backs against the wall. And in the loudest stadium on the planet, the Raiders have to silence everybody. And please, for my phone’s inbox, win this game.
