Earlier today, the Silver and Black lost a fan favorite and camp standout in linebacker Javin White. He was signed to the New York Jets’ practice squad, leaving the Raiders’ linebacker core slightly thin.
Javin White went undrafted in last year’s draft, and this season he totaled three solo tackles and one tackle for a loss. Javin White was making strides during the preseason until he injured his knee against the Los Angeles Rams.
So what is the next step in regards to this move? Well, earlier today the Raiders signed two new linebackers to the team. Those players are Justin March-Lillard and Kyle Wilber. There’s no word if they’re expected to play this Sunday. However, more will be known as we get closer to game day.
While Javin’s energy will be missed on the field, the best of luck is wished to him on his next career move, and if things don’t work out in Met Life Stadium, the Silver and Black will welcome him back with open arms.
