Raiders Schedule Rumors: Kansas City Chiefs On Monday Night Football?

The NFL continues its dominance over sports media today. As if the Super Bowl, NFL Combine, and NFL Draft weren’t enough, the official release of the 2022 schedule now takes hold. As for the Las Vegas Raiders, only two games have been confirmed: Week 2 against the Arizona Cardinals and the other in Week 1 against the Los Angeles Chargers in the Raiders’ second home: SoFi Stadium. With plenty of rumors flying around, a couple of other opponents might’ve been leaked.

As far as the official release, that will become available to everyone later today at 8 p.m. ET (5 p.m. PT).

Who are the Las Vegas Raiders playing?

Bill Williamson of Silver and Black Pride originally mentioned that he heard the Raiders would play the Denver Broncos in Week 2 at Mile High. He was sure to remind people, though, that it wasn’t confirmed and unfortunately, it turned out to be just another rumor. According to Danny Parkins of 670 The Score, the Kansas City Chiefs will host the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 5 on Monday Night Football.

Another rumor that has circulated on Twitter comes from independent NFL reporter Dov Kleiman, who claims that the New Orleans Saints will host the Silver and Black in Week 8. Raider Nation should take these rumors with a grain of salt. Perhaps you should hold off on any trip planning until the league itself drops the full schedule.

It’s amazing to see something like a schedule release causing as much fuss as it is currently doing. Scott Gulbransen of Silver and Black Today dropped a tidbit to put things into perspective. Basically, the release of the NFL schedule is getting more attention and press than the NBA Combine or baseball.

On a side note, all of this extensive NFL coverage is great for fans, but it does have a caveat. Several verified outlets and reporters were duped over the last few days. A Twitter user by the name @NFLGameLeaks put out a Tweet where he made it clear none of his information was legitimate. In other words, people were bamboozled. Check your sources, people. Everyone wants the big scoop, but more often than not, if it’s too good to be true, it is.
