Off The Field Incidents – Reason No. 2 That Raiders Miss Playoffs
This one is self-explanatory, and as most fans know, it’s too true. Raiders players getting involved in off-field issues is a trademark of the Silver and Black. It’s two-fold, though; when the team wins, no one cares. However, when the team struggles, it’s usually a different story.
The likelihood that players will get into trouble should be a foregone conclusion when playing in Las Vegas. It can’t be a coincidence that the Raiders have been involved in issue after issue since their move to Sin City. One of the biggest tragedies in team history took place when Henry Ruggs III was involved in a tragic car accident. It claimed the innocent lives of Tina Tintor and her dog.
Who could also forget Damon Arnette and his foolish video where he brandishes a firearm? When you combine that irresponsible behavior with poor play on the field, it sealed Arnette’s fate. You also have Nate Hobbs and his inability to stay out of the limelight. Why don’t the Raiders change their slogan to “Just Uber, Baby?” The constant worry that someone on the Raiders will find himself in some kind of trouble is omnipresent. 2022 will be no different, no matter who the head coach is.
