As the 2022 season approaches, the Las Vegas Raiders were the first team to start training camp this summer. One of the most crucial points of the year for NFL teams, it is even more profound for the Raiders. With a new head coach in Josh McDaniels, the Raiders must get to work quickly.
One of the things McDaniels is no doubt grateful for is the team’s attendance. In fact, every member of the team is present and accounted for in Las Vegas as the team gets the season underway. As McDaniels says, “If you start training camp with 90 guys on the field, you’re lucky.”
Commonly in the NFL, teams will enter training camps with certain players missing due to contract disputes. For the Raiders, the player every fan had their eye on was star tight end, Darren Waller. While he is still in search of a new contract, he has decided to be with the team regardless.
#Raiders coach Josh McDaniels: It's always a great feeling to get in there withe the team, the entire team…to get out there on the grass and start coaching.

The Raiders Are A Close-Knit Team
After a playoff appearance in 2021, many are still sleeping on the Raiders. Due to this, it appears as if this year’s team is one of the tightest groups in years. “No one thinks anything of us”, says quarterback Derek Carr.
So, while the team rallies around its quarterback and new head coach, they do so as a team who expects to win this coming season. While that is to be determined, it is clear that this team is eager to be back on the field.
