Raiders Free Agency Target No. 2 – J.C. Tretter
With the O-line still being a question mark, the team has many options to improve via free agency. The Raiders will have Andre James starting for the second straight year at center, but they can bring in a seasoned veteran to mentor him until he reaches his maximum potential.
J.C. Tretter is a free agent who can do just that for the team and is a player who has had a notable career over the years. Tretter is coming off a great season with the Cleveland Browns, in which he allowed only one single sack and six penalties. He is a veteran who can arguably start for the team as his play has been equal to or better than James’. Bringing in Tretter can create more competition on the line while immediately improving the group.
Raiders Free Agency Target No. 3 – T.Y. Hilton
The Raiders could use more depth at the receiver position, and if the team is not able to bring in a high-caliber free agent, they could bring in a veteran to help the young guys while producing for the team. T.Y. Hilton is a receiver who has had a great career in the NFL, and with the Indianapolis Colts not bringing him back, the Raiders could add him to help in the passing game.
Last season, Hilton was a second option for the Colts, catching only 23 passes and three touchdowns. However, he can be a role player for the team who can come in and give the starters a break. Depth at any position is better than none, and Hilton could be the guy to provide that. He’d be a good complement alongside Davante Adams and Hunter Renfrow.
