With the NFL’s preseason fully underway, rosters will soon be making additions and subtractions. As for Carl Nassib, the former Las Vegas Raiders defensive end, he’s found a new home. Well, sort of a new “old” home; Nassib will be rejoining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
As NFL fans will recall, Nassib is known largely for two things. The first is having a disappointing run with the Raiders after coming off a notable stint with the Bucs. From 2018–2019, Nassib recorded 12.5 sacks, 20 tackles for a loss, and three forced fumbles in Tampa Bay. Regrettably, Nassib was unable to recreate that level of production with the Silver and Black. With a new regime in place for the Raiders, it was decided that they would be moving on from Nassib.
Nassib now finds himself returning to the Bucs on a 1-year deal, as reported by Adam Schefter.

NFL Fans Show Their True Colors With Carl Nassib News
The second thing that Nassib is now known for is being the first active NFL player to come out as gay. While not an on-field accomplishment, Nassib’s announcement was nonetheless a historical one for the league. However, following the news that he would be returning to Tampa Bay, many NFL fans once again showed that they have a way to go when it comes to tolerance and acceptance.
