Darren Waller

Raiders TE Darren Waller Returns To Practice, Speculation Is Over

The speculation and rumors surrounding Las Vegas Raiders’ tight end Darren Waller can finally be put to rest. The Pro Bowl star has returned to the practice field today. It has been reported by various sources with boots on the ground.

When the Raiders took the field at Allegiant Stadium on Sunday, they were without Waller, who was nearby attending an Aces’ basketball game. Several media outlets and YouTubers took to social media to criticize Waller. Many cited that he was being selfish, a bad teammate, etc. However, that was also proven false once the official word came out that the tight end had the team’s permission to do so. Of course, it didn’t end there, as some began to see Waller’s absence up to this point as some sort of ploy to get a new contract. Regardless of your personal opinion on Waller this offseason, No. 83 is back. Additionally, assuming he’s recovering nicely, we’ll see him get going in the coming days, one step at a time.

Darren Waller Is Back At Practice For The Raiders

As we mentioned before, Waller was reported to be back on the field for the Silver and Black. As you can imagine, social media was ablaze once news broke out today.

What about a new contract?

With Waller back on the field, the talk will now shift to his future with the team. We’re referring to a new contract, of course. Though nothing official has surfaced from the Raiders organization, Waller’s contract will remain a hot button topic until Week 1. Will we see the tight end get a new deal before then? We’ll have to wait and see. This new regime keeps everything close to the vest, especially when it comes to new contracts and extensions.
