Raiders Bets: Safest, Riskiest, And Smartest In NFL Week 1

We are back! Is the first Las Vegas Raiders game of the season not exciting enough for you? Do you want to make it a little more interesting and throw some money down? Here are a few bets to take a look at. All lines are as of Saturday morning via DraftKings.

Raiders Bets: NFL Week 1 Edition

Smartest Bet of the Week: Raiders Moneyline (+150)

On paper, these two teams are pretty even. It’s about as close to a toss-up as you will get. However, I think the absence of Los Angeles Chargers cornerback J.C. Jackson tips the scales slightly towards Las Vegas. Los Angeles was already going to have trouble covering the trio of Davante Adams, Hunter Renfrow, and Darren Waller even with Jackson. Now, their best corner is Asante Samuel Jr. He will need help with Adams all game long. This will likely leave Waller and Renfrow on islands with Derwin James and Bryce Callahan, respectively. Expect the Raiders offense to have a lot of success. If the defense can keep the Chargers under thirty, Las Vegas should start out with a win. At +150, you have to take the Raiders here.

Safest Bet: Over 52.5 (-110)

Week 1 can be pretty unpredictable. Offenses can sputter out of the gate like the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday night. Heck, even Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen threw two picks, and he was the better passer. That being said, this over is a lock. These are two teams with great quarterbacks and tons of weapons…and suspect secondaries. I don’t see a world where at least one of these teams doesn’t break 30. I also see this being a one-score game. Truthfully, the lowest score we could expect to see would be something like 31-24. Even that would hit the over with a couple of points to spare.

Best High-Risk Bet: Final Play Of The Game To Be a Made FG In OT (+1700)

This is just plain fun. With this bet, you might get to benefit from a nail-biter, which this game figures to be. When these two teams met in last year’s regular-season finale, the result was a Daniel Carlson overtime field goal. In fact, that was the result of a couple of other Raiders games last season. It’s always fun to bet on Carlson. In this case, if you throw 10 bucks on it, you have a shot at winning 170. Not a bad situation.
