Raiders running back Zamir White Josh Jacobs Hard Knocks

Las Vegas Raiders: Rookie Performance Tracker, NFL Week 1

After trading both their first and second-round picks in exchange for Davante Adams, the Las Vegas Raiders still had six picks in the 2022 NFL Draft.

This marks the first draft class for new general manager Dave Ziegler and head coach Josh McDaniels. With this in mind, they wasted no time attacking the teams’ needs but also selecting for value in the later rounds.

Unsurprisingly, this first class had a heavy presence of players from the Power Five conferences. With their first pick in the third round, they took Dylan Parham from Memphis. They didn’t stop adding to their offensive line either, as they selected Thayer Munford from Ohio State in the seventh.

Somewhat more surprisingly, they selected two running backs. With Zamir White and Brittain Brown being added, the backfield is now loaded. On the defensive line, both Neil Farrell and Matthew Butler will likely play early and often in Las Vegas.

Many members of this draft class are slated to have important roles as the regular season quickly approaches. Whether these players are starting along the offensive line or filling roles in the backfield, we will have their entire rookie seasons covered right here.

Las Vegas Raiders Rookie Performance Tracker

Round 3, 90th overall: Dylan Parham, G

Stat Tracker: 67 snaps in Week two. PFF grade of 64.1.

Performance Analysis: Dylan Parham opened Week 1 as a reserve and finished it as the Raiders’ highest-graded offensive lineman according to PFF. In week two, Parham started in place of Andre James at center and performed admirably.

Round 4, 122nd overall: Zamir White, RB

Stat Tracker: One carry for two yards.

Performance Analysis: With 135 yards through four preseason games, Zamir White was perhaps the most highly touted member of the rookie class. Despite this, he has seen just six snaps through two games this season. If McDaniel’s past is any indication, White will be rotated in as the season moves forward.

Round 4, 126th overall: Neil Farrell Jr., DT

Stat Tracker: TBA

Performance Analysis: Considered by some to be one of the draft’s biggest steals, Neil Farrell looked the part in the preseason. He was inactive for the Raiders’ week two game against the Cardinals and has not played in a game for the Raiders this season.

Round 5, 175th overall: Matthew Butler, DT

Stat Tracker: TBA

Performance Analysis: Just like Farrell Jr., Butler did not play in Sunday’s game as he was inactive. He, like Farrell Jr., will need injuries ahead of him on the depth chart in order to see the field.

Round 7, 238th overall: Thayer Munford Jr., OT

Stat Tracker: 18 snaps in Week 1, 45.2 PFF grade.

Performance Analysis: Although he was just a seventh-round pick out of Ohio State, Thayer Munford Jr. opened the season in competition to be the Raiders starting right tackle. While the Raiders would rotate him and Jermaine Eluemunor, he has struggled. According to PFF, he was given a 32.4 grade.

Round 7, 250th overall: Brittain Brown, RB

Stat Tracker: TBA

Performance Analysis: After a solid performance in the final preseason game, Brittain Brown was able to crack the opening day roster. Even still, Brown has been inactive for both of the Raiders’ first two games.
