Raiders Polls: Over/Under Predictions For Monday Night Football

As Monday Night Football inches closer, the fate of the Las Vegas Raiders’ 2022 season might very well hang in the balance. Several players will have the national spotlight bestowed upon them later tonight. As a result, we decided to poll our readers on how some of these key players will fare against Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs. Be sure to go to our polls and reply with your answers!

Will Las Vegas Raiders QB Derek Carr throw for more than two touchdowns?

To get our thread started on Twitter, we posed the question of whether Carr would throw for more than two scores through the air. Historically speaking, the Raiders have a favorable record when he throws for a pair of touchdowns or better. Facing a stout run defense such as the one that the Raiders are facing today, that might be what it takes. Raiders fans are quite familiar with Carr’s struggles at Arrowhead, so Monday Night Football will be another tough test.

Will Josh Jacobs get the ball early and often?

Raiders fans witnessed a run game that was clicking on all cylinders against the Denver Broncos. It was the best offensive effort so far in 2022, led by Josh Jacobs and the returning Andre James. The question is, will Josh McDaniels continue riding his hot hand? The Chiefs’ run defense sits atop several key defensive categories, so it won’t be easy. Regardless, we posed the question to Raider Nation: will Jacobs get over or under 20 carries tonight?

What about the Raiders’ passing game?

If the Raiders and McDaniels are forced to abandon the run, you would then have Carr’s weapons needing to make a play. Chief among them are Davante Adams and struggling star tight end Darren Waller. No. 83 has seen inconsistent numbers with no more than six but no less than three receptions in the first four weeks of 2022. That needs to change as soon as possible. On the other hand, Adams will likely need quite an outing in order to help Carr. We posed the over/under scenarios as follows: over or under one touchdown for Adams; and over or under for Waller’s four receptions.

What about the defense?

The final pair of polling questions we have asked Raider Nation have to do with the defense. In particular, if Chandler Jones can breakout with a performance in which he records a sack, or preferably, double-digit sacks. The notable stat for the Raiders to keep in mind will be the points scored by the Chiefs’ offense. If Patrick Mahomes and Co. get off to a hot start and can’t be contained, it’s going to be a long night for the Silver and Black.
