Josh Jacobs Lands On Injury Report And Kolton Miller On Track To Return

At this juncture, the Las Vegas Raiders are just trying to get some of their key players healthy again. Those who have avoided the injury bug should stay that way. The news on the injury front is twofold for the Silver and Black. Star running back Josh Jacobs suffered a calf injury today, which is certainly not what you want to hear ahead of Sunday’s game. Meanwhile, prized left tackle Kolton Miller is working his way back to health.

Raiders News: Getting Healthy Is A Priority

As far as No. 28 goes, the Raiders’ offense depends on him to get the ground game going, simply put. None of the other running backs on the roster have come close to matching Jacobs’ impact this season. For now, Jacobs heads into the weekend listed as questionable. Facing a Seattle Seahawks’ defense that’s giving up nearly five yards per carry, Jacobs could be in store for a big game. With Jacobs due for a game where he punches it into the endzone, the situation is ripe, as the Seahawks have surrendered 23 rushing touchdowns this year.

The Raiders escaped Denver last Sunday with a big overtime win thanks to a highlight-reel catch by Davante Adams. Despite missing Miller, the Raiders’ O-line held up relatively well, especially in key moments. However, whether the Raiders can sustain such momentum without Miller is a major question mark. According to Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the team is “optimistic” about his return. Looking ahead, the Raiders will need to slow down Uchenna Nwosu. With seven sacks to his name, protecting the left side for quarterback Derek Carr will be once again crucial. Let’s see how Miller progresses the rest of the weekend as the Raiders hit the road in Week 12.
