To say that Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs had a historic night would be an understatement. Even the NFL has recognized this.
You can call him “Mr. 300,” as shared by the league’s official Twitter account. It’s quite the honor, but it also speaks to just how much of an impactful game Jacobs had against the Seattle Seahawks. It’s even more astonishing when you consider that No. 28 had tweaked his calf earlier in the week prior to the game, landing him on the injury report. Maybe Jacobs needs to tweak it more often, right? All kidding aside, can you recall the last time the NFL recognized a member of the Raiders like this?

Raiders RB Josh Jacobs totaled 303 yards from scrimmage against the Seahawks
To put into perspective what Jacobs accomplished in the second, take a look at how other offenses around the league performed. According to CBS on NFL, Jacobs had more yards than a slew of squads had in total for their respective games. For example, the New York Giants totaled 300 yards on offense, and the Chicago Bears had 292—holy cow! Oh, and the Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams only mustered 198 yards on Sunday; it’s remarkable what Jacobs accomplished on his own.
While calling Jacobs the Raiders’ own version of Marshall Faulk is a stretch, it can’t be denied that he’s becoming a dual threat under head coach Josh McDaniels. In fact, Jacobs has now recorded his second consecutive game with 100-plus yards on the ground combined with 50-plus through the air. It begs the question of whether the team will back up the Brinks truck for No. 28, and will general manager Dave Ziegler drop serious coin for a position that’s become so devalued in the NFL? Jacobs is certainly making his case, and at this rate, someone will cough up the cash. It is unclear whether it will be the Raiders at this time.
