We are back at it with another edition of Gamble Ramble! We almost went three for three last week, but the Las Vegas Raiders won instead, so it wasn’t all bad. The Raiders face their division rival Los Angeles Chargers this week. Here are three bets that should be able to make you some money off of this game. All lines come via Draft Kings as of Friday night.
Smartest Bet: OVER 50 (-110)
The Raiders’ offense is starting to click. It appeared to start a couple weeks ago in Denver, but it was on full display in Seattle. Josh McDaniels is starting to figure some things out, and the players are beginning to buy in. You don’t break huge, game-winning touchdown plays in overtime two weeks in a row by accident. That takes great scheming and perfect execution. The Raiders’ offense seems to have turned a corner.
WHAT A CATCH. 🤯

On the other side of the ball, the Raiders’ defense still stinks. That could mean trouble with Justin Herbert coming to town. Expect another high-scoring affair this week. It is probably going to take at least 30 points to win this one. Hammer the over.
Safest Bet: Davante Adams to Score a Touchdown (-155)
I was torn between Adams and Josh Jacobs (-165 to score) for this section, but Jacobs is a little banged up and Adams has better odds. He had a rare scoreless outing last week. It is unlikely that it happens in two games in a row. Last week’s tape should certainly help his cause. Derek Carr threw three touchdown passes, all to players not named Adams. This means that the “don’t let Adams beat you” strategy doesn’t work great. That could give him more opportunities deep in the red zone. Look for Adams to get back on the Raiders’ scoresheet this week.
Riskiest Raiders Bet: Derek Carr OVER 300 Pass Yards (+270)
I know Derek Carr almost never breaks this threshold, but this one might be worth taking a flier on. Remember, Jacobs carried a heavy load last week and is far from a hundred percent. The Raiders might need to take a game to rely on the pass more. This might be a good time since Carr appears to be getting into a rhythm. He is typically hovering in the high 200s in passing yards anyway. You might as well take a chance on some pretty good odds.
