Breaking Raiders News

The Raiders’ Chances To Make Playoffs Have Increased To 8%

With their season on the line from here on out, the Las Vegas Raiders have to play each of their final games as if it were their last. After an underwhelming start to their season that included a shutout loss, the Raiders are still alive. Head coach Josh McDaniels is doing a notable job of rallying the troops amidst all the media conjecture. As far as salvaging their 2022 season, the team’s slowly turning the corner, and the odds of them making the playoffs are increasing with each passing week.

Breaking Raiders News: Odds at making the playoffs are increasing…

In a bit of breaking Raiders news, it turns out that following their latest win over the Los Angeles Chargers, the Raiders have elevated their playoff hopes. According to the New York Times, the Raiders’ odds, expressed as a percentage, have increased from four to eight since Sunday. This is based on The Upshot’s NFL playoff simulator; you can check out all the details here.

Can they make it?

That’s the question on everyone’s mind after Sunday. If the Raiders walk away from Thursday night, the team will stand at 6-7. That’s four wins shy of their record last season, when they sneaked into the playoffs.

A struggling Los Angeles Rams team awaits the Silver and Black in the confines of SoFi Stadium. Unfortunately, the defending Super Bowl champions are a mess this season. Their quarterback and superstar wide receiver will be out; meanwhile, their run game has been nonexistent this season. There’s no such thing as an “easy win,” but this is as close as you can get. At the same time, the mark of a playoff-bound squad is that they beat the teams that they’re “supposed” to beat. The Rams are, in fact, exactly that. We can expect that percentage to increase significantly with a win on Thursday.
